I’m still amazed at quickly time flies. Elliott and Cameron turned 2 on Sunday. Day to day, it sometimes seems like an eternity, but looking back, I can’t believe it has already been 2 years. Before I know it, they’re going to be leaving for college.
Ever wonder what 15.4 million horsepower looks like? I was able to witness it yesterday. I got invited to take part in a plant tour at ATK up in Promontory, UT. After the tour, we were shuttled to a VIP viewing area to witness the Space Shuttle Reusable Solid Rocket Motor Static Test. I think the tour was more interesting, as we were able to see how the RSRM is made. I will not, however, discount the 123.3 seconds of fun watching that baby burn. Pictures are in my gallery.
Just got back from a quick trip to Raleigh, North Carolina. I think this was my first time staying at a La Quinta, and I must say, I’m not impressed. I won’t go into the details, but I think I’ll stick with what I know next time.
If you haven’t seen Discovery’s Planet Earth, I have to ask, why not? We’ve been watching it for the last few weeks, and I’m simply amazed by the footage. The team from the BBC spent close to 5 years all over the world getting footage for this thing. Even without the audio, this would be impressive. If you’re lucky enough to be able to watch it in 1080i on DiscoveryHD Theater, it is even better. The shots of the great white shark and the crocodile will never get old. Seriously, check it out, new episodes air on Sunday nights.
